Personal Logs: Identity: Dylan Pickard Date: February 27, 2035 Time: 6:30 AM
"Uh... Hello? Checking in again. Phew. Been a little while since the last time I recorded my thoughts. It's been smooth sailing I think, so there wasn't any need to unload any stress or tension. We got hunted down again today, and we sent out a front-line team to defend against the first few waves. They hit us hard, but as we got the power to get more and more of our plasma weapons online and more of our soldiers out in the field, they didn't stand a chance against the full force of XCOM.

I'm doing pretty well, I think. Been promoted, had plenty of chances to take down aliens. I'm not the best here, but I'm happy to be an active soldier. Took a while for the Commander to build his faith in me, but now that I have it, I'm never gonna let him down, as long as I can help it.

The men and women here are resilient. Tenacious. Heroic, even. And I think I could call them my family. I count on them and they count on me. When one of us takes a hit, I think we all feel it, and I know we all get excited when we see a xeno drop. Even though we're sitting in the trenches of humanity's biggest war, I don't know that any of us would rather be anywhere or be doing anything else."
