bio: he was a college student studying to be a video game artist till' the aliens took over. he wears his special helmet in the hope of hiding his face from the aliens in so they don't target anyone he cares about. prefers to focus on his swordplay, as he doesn't much care for guns. Saved a family from an advent battalion by himself. Rumor has it he was captured and experimented on by the aliens in order to create something known as an "Avatar" but broke free. Whether or not this is true remains to be seen.

Alex "Red Ranger" Johnson: private log #1:" It's interesting, the resilience of humanity. I had thought Xcom squashed, gone forever. it would seem I'm mistaken. Xcom's back and it seems like it's somehow stronger. As we all are, I'm sure. (Scratches at his bar code tattoo on his left arm, which is from his imprisonment in an advent facility) Man, I hope they don't catch me again. Those weeks were some of the worst of my life. the only upside I can see, is they tried to basically give me superpowers, which I guess is kinda cool. Just wish I didn't have to become a slave to do so. (tilts his head to the left, as if hearing some unknown noise) what the hell...? Weird... anyway, i need to get some sleep. *sigh*-Red Ranger, signing off."
Alex "Red Ranger" Johnson: private log #2: " I saw it. I don't know what it was exactly, but I finally saw it! that weird being of living data! I have no clue what it is or how the aliens made it, but I mean to find out. unfortunately for me, these beings seems very elusive, almost to the point of being in two places at once. But that's impossible, right? well, the only problem left to me now is how to find the thing, because it disappeared moments after I saw it. on the off hand, I finally got a glimpse of Xcom's new dropship flying overhead. maybe if I follow it to its source,... anyway, got to get out of here before advent figures out that I was here. Red Ranger, out"
Alex "Red Ranger" Johnson: private log #3: " Wow. just wow. So, I finally make it to a resistance haven, only to see it getting completely, utterly destroyed by advent forces. Unfortunately, I was too far away to help at the time, but I did see human soldiers in odd, colorful, military issue gear fighting advent. this must be Xcom forces, I thought. and it would seem I was right. After about an hour and half of fighting, the soldiers left in their fancy dropship. good thing for me, however, because now I can track the damn thing. Advent drones may not be very poplar, but they sure are useful,( with a bit of reprogramming). Hopefully soon I see where they actually go, because one of these days, I will hunt down whatever that digital creature was, and I feel like I could use their backup. Red Ranger, out"
Alex "Red Ranger" Johnson: private log #4:" it surprises me how often I seen xcom swoop in to save the day. they're like old comic-book superheroes. expect, with less power and more sheer luck. I mean, how many times can one guy get shot at and not get hit?! anyway, I managed to slip onboard the dropship before it took off, ditching the drone in the process, as it turned out, it's circuits got fried during the return trip. they must have some tech that prevents active advent tech from getting onboard. after about 2 hours of smuggling myself in the cargo hold of this thing, I felt the ship land. must be here, I thought, the infamou8s Xcom base. I hear the soldiers get off, and walk away. I wait for a bout 20 minutes, and then I slip off as well. turns out were on some kind of landing strip ontop of some giant metal structure. I head in, and see a bunch of Xcom staff working around the place, which, from all the guns and crates of ammo, I assume to be some sort of armory. nobody's noticed me yet, and I plan to keep it that way, well, until they decide to take me into their service. Man, I was not made for this black-ops shit. *odd, psionic noise in the background* there it is again! I whisper, what the hell is that? oh shit, looks like someone's heading this way! Got to go, -Red Ranger, out!"
Alex " Red Ranger" Johnson: black ops log #1: well. I made it. I finally found xcom. turns out, the metal structure I had infiltrated was in fact a massive alien-human hybrid carrier class ship. and it is packed with xcom staff and soldiers. I've heard some call this behemoth of a ship the "Avenger". neat name for a mobile fortress. I smuggle some stuff when I can, mostly food and water, which, surprisingly, they have a lot of. Guess they need a lot of food to feed this revolution of theirs. anyway, I think I found some kind of, I don't know what to call it exactly, I'm guessing engineering bay? either way, there was a woman in there who almost noticed me. Well, not her exactly, but I think that drone hovering by her may have snapped a picture of me. *sighs* I'm not made for this kind of thing. Red Ranger, out"
Alex "Red Ranger" Johnson: black ops log #2: after continuing to explore the ship for weeks, I believe I have mapped it almost entirely, including the damaged sections currently under construction. I think that Xcom's staff is wondering why food keeps disappearing, but I honestly have bigger concerns at the moment. I saw... an alien corpse I heard referred to as a "sectoid", and it .. triggered this weird flash, an image of a robed, masked, lanky alien with four arms. And I swear it spoke! I couldn't understand it, but it was directly speaking with me. the only thing I could make out was "Avatar" repeated over and over again. *sighs* I hope that infirmary of theirs as meds for this shit. How nobody's found me yet , even when this place is crawling with people and soldiers, is beyond me. ill continue my little excursion here, and maybe, just maybe, I can find out what the hell this Avatar thing is. -Red Ranger, out"
Alex" Red Ranger" Johnson: black ops log #3:" it would seem the xcom soldiers were dispatched today to capture an advent VIP. wonder why. on the off hand, I've finally mapped out every single section of this ship. this thing's a lot bigger than it looks on the inside. (Dr. who reference anyone?) ive seen almost everything there is to see here, so I got bored. and so, I headed to the training room, and started beating on a sandbag for about.. two hours or so? I don't know, wasn't keeping track. But I was so engrossed in my practice that I didn't even notice the man in green standing behind me. he tapped me on the shoulder and said aggressively: " you don't look like one of our soldiers. who are and how'd you get on this ship?" I turned, (my mask was still on at this point, so I think he mistook me for advent) and he shouts over a radio device" intruder on the upper levels! Guerrilla tactics school!" and I knew, with him being bigger than me, I wouldn't be able to overpower him and escape, so I did the only thing I could think of: I drew my sword, and slashed his leg. he fell, and while he was distracted, I ran out of the room, and the proceeded to the armory so I could make my escape, unfortunately, the soldiers had returned, and again, I was mistaken for advent. a few seconds later, the rest of the staff, the man in green, the female engineer, and a bald man in a lab coat had me surrounded and pinned. the man in green said something that sounded like: " keep an eye on him, the Commander may want a word with this one" and I was summarily knocked out. when I awoke, I was in a cell. well, this is quite the turnaround, ain't it? luckily I managed to keep my journal and pencil (which is pretty short at this point) but my weapons had been confiscated. at least I still have my mask on, I thought glumly.-Red Ranger, out"
Alex" Red ranger" Johnson: prison log #1: in all my life, I never thought i'd see the inside of a cell, especially one the "good guys" have. but, such is life. think it's been a week since they locked je up in here next to the advent vip the soldiers captured. in that time, the bald lab coat guy ahs come down here about three times. I think he trying to run tests on me, find out what I'm doing here and what I look like under my mask. well, i'm not telling them anything. i'm on their side, after all, so I shouldn't even be locked up in the first place! at least the weird voices which "lab coat" as I call him, as identified as psionic recordings (whatever those are) have stopped for a while, which I guess is good. they also want to know what this "Avatar" thing is. unfortunately keep telling them all, just cause my past involves it, doesn't mean I know what it is. (that's the extent to what I've told them: my backstory, how I was captured and experimented on by advent, and the weird flashes of the four armed robed alien) wonder when they let me out of here.-Red Ranger, out"
Alex "Red ranger" Johnson: prison log #2: after about another week or so of sitting in a cell, I managed to somehow pick the lock and escape. granted this was short lived, as, after about five minutes of running down a hall, one of the soldiers saw me, tossed a flashbang, and then knocked me out and dragged me back to my cell. well, shit. at least xcoms doing good work with how well their dispatching the advent soldiers on their missions. how do I know this? coincidentally, the cell I'm in is right under their landing bay, so I hear them come and go. and..occasionally, I hear the psionic feedback of a sectoid dying. those things have a really messed up way of thinking when they die. hell, if I hadn't been though that already, it'd probably drive me mad. as it is though, I'm kinda used to it... does that make me sound crazy? I need top figure this out before I actually do go crazy. -Red ranger, out"
